R E V I E W: The Dumb Waiter - "The sparkle comes from astonishing performances by Andy Smart and Steve Steen... Together, the actors delight, combining to extract all the humour and menace of the play, to make a warm, subtle and exciting drama." - Fringe Report
R E V I E W: "Any temptation to add a post-modern grimace or ironic glance to the dialogue is ignored. In so doing, they do not just maintain the purity of the play but add an extra patina of innocence to it." - The Stage

Following the hugely successful sell-out tours of Bill Bryson's The Lost Continent and Notes From A Small Island, actor Steve Steen and writer/director Paul Hodson teamed up again and embarked on a National UK tour in the Spring of 2004 with the brand new adaptation of Bill Bryson's hilarious and number one best seller, Down Under.
After tales from the USA and Britain, Bill Bryson turns his roving eye to Australia, the only island that is also a continent and the only continent that is also a country. It is the driest, flattest, most desiccated, infertile and climatically aggressive of all the inhabited continents. It has more things that can kill you in a very nasty way than anywhere else. Yet when Bill Bryson travelled to Australia he promptly fell in love with the country. And who can blame him? The people are cheerful, the cities safe and clean, the food is excellent, the beer is cold and the sun nearly always shines. He tries to find out why Aussies are so cool, digging up a past that reveals convicts, explorers, gold diggers and outlaws.
The brilliant Steve Steen (Whose Line is it Anyway, Comedy Store Players) and director Paul Hodson (The Lost Continent, Fever Pitch) reunite for this national tour of Down Under with hilarious results.
